The smoke from the EG18 comes from a single vent located at the top of the grenade.

90 to 120 Seconds of Smoke

Once the safety cap is removed, simply pull the wire pin sideways to ignite the grenade.
You will then experience a significant volume of smoke for nearly 2 minutes.
