Eclipse Quake 2-Piece Barrel Set Black 11″ (27.5cm)
The Eclipse Quake Black 11″ barrel also allows for firing regular paintballs.
The new Eclipse Quake 11″ barrel is manufactured and developed in collaboration with Carmatech Engineering. A devastating combination of talent.
First Strike Rounds (FSR) and shaped projectiles can be extraordinarily effective when used correctly. However, they are not cheap. Each shot must count. Each shot must be on target. It must go exactly where you want it to. You don’t want to leave anything to chance. The first and most crucial piece of equipment you use with them should be your marker. It should reliably feed the balls without flipping, chopping, or breaking them. It should gently load them into the barrel and then propel them with a controlled and consistent burst of gas to give each shot the best possible chance of hitting the target at a distance. For that, we have prepared the amazing Eclipse EMF100 magfed marker. It’s a sure thing.
Maximizing the Ballistic Capabilities of First Strike and Shaped Projectiles
But FSR and shaped projectiles allow us to push the boundaries of what’s possible with a paintball marker. FSRs are designed to spin on their flight axis. The small fins angled around the FSR skirt help induce this spin as the ball flies through the air. But when fired from a conventional smoothbore barrel, this rotation can take some time and distance from the end of the barrel to build up to significant speed. This delay in rotation buildup means there’s a flight period of the FSR or shaped ball where they are not optimally stabilized… And what’s the point of using expensive shaped projectiles if you’re not giving yourself the best chances of hitting your target…
Introducing the Quake Barrel by Eclipse
Our first barrel specifically designed and optimized to maximize the ballistic capabilities of First Strike and shaped projectiles.
Using the same hammer forge process used to produce some of the most expensive and accurate real steel barrels in the world, the Quake barrel was made for Eclipse by the current leader in the paintball marker rifled barrel industry. Carmatech Engineering has been the top in their class in producing precision rifled barrels, with the sole purpose of shooting the most accurate shaped projectiles possible. No other company has put as much time and effort into design and research, including hours of high-speed video shooting and data collection on how to get the most out of these balls.
11,500 rotations per minute
The result of all this research and development? An innovative and patent-pending rifled barrel, the Spline Drive. A barrel that can give 11,500 rotations per minute on a first shot, BEFORE even leaving the end of the barrel. That’s right. The Eclipse Quake barrel is capable of spinning a shaped projectile up to 11,500 times per minute in just the rear 8.5 inches (21cm) of the barrel – the part that controls the shot. This early ball rotation means the ball is fully stabilized when it leaves the barrel, giving you exceptional precision and consistency.
But the advantage of the Quake doesn’t stop there. We understand that different players like different setups and loadouts. But even the same player can use two or three different loadouts in a single weekend.
Compatible with Standard Shaft 4 or 5* Tips
So the Quake was designed to fit your style. It comes standard with a muzzle brake in an 11″ overall length configuration, which is perfect for short-barrel setups and CQB. But what makes the Quake unique is that the muzzle brake attaches to the control bore using the reverse thread Eclipse Shaft4/5. This means that once the muzzle brake is removed, any standard Shaft 4 or 5* barrel tip (including the one provided with the EMF100) can be attached to create a 14.5″ quiet barrel when you want to keep things on the DL on the field. And if you already have an EMF100, you already have your ready-to-use 14.5″ barrel tip! And of course, if you wish, your new Quake muzzle brake can be used on the EMF100 barrel back if you want a short/CQB smoothbore barrel for regular round ball shooting. It’s like having 4 barrels in 2! It’s a Win-Win that we know will give you the winning edge on the field.
Shaft 4/5 barrel sold separately.
