BASE Single Pane HD Mask Lens

BASE masks are built to last. Replace the lens of your mask with an easy-to-install lens to give your paintball mask a fresh new look.

The inner part is treated with an anti-fog coating. Although easier to maintain and less expensive than double-pane lenses, this technique is still less effective. We always recommend opting for a double-pane “thermal” lens. The curvature of the assembly is designed to avoid light distortions.

Why Use an HD Lens?

HD stands for High Definition. BASE HD lenses block blue light from the spectrum, such as the light found in overcast weather (making them a good choice for playing paintball in cloudy conditions). HD lenses enhance contrast and depth perception while reducing glare. Blue light has a shorter wavelength and is more difficult to focus on compared to other colors of light, so lenses that block blue light are good for preventing eye fatigue.

The BASE HD lens is also useful in changing weather conditions and overall low-light conditions. HD lenses are particularly effective for assessing distance and highlighting the contrast of green shades in a forest.
